New Horizons - Baytreat Campaign

“I am about to do a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” Isaiah 43:19

What is New Horizons?

The New Horizons Campaign is a transformational initiative to establish Baytreat as a center for ministry, mission, and fellowship. About Baytreat

Nestled along the waterfront of Battles Wharf, Baytreat is a serene retreat with a deep, screened porch overlooking a lawn and wharf. This 10-bedroom, 10-bath facility features a full commercial kitchen and a rich history dating back to 1842 when the original log house was built. Expanded in 1904, the facility was called the Beach Hotel and it was usually filled to capacity by guests that arrived by Bay steamers. In 1957, Government Street Presbyterian acquired the property and it has been used as a retreat center ever since. The property now accommodates up to 40 guests year-round with modern amenities, including walking trails, a prayer labyrinth, and a worship site. Baytreat serves as a vibrant space for mission camps, retreats, officer training sessions, and summer day camps. It has also welcomed local Boys and Girls Clubs and Talladega’s Presbyterian Home for Children. Visitors continue to enjoy the same Bay breezes and stunning sunsets that have graced this special property for over 180 years.
